Chow / At Large Burgers of Des Moines

(Part two in a two-part series.)

Here we see a double Flamethrower from Zombie Burger, a zombie-themed restaurant I wrote about in my Iowa caucuses feature. It's covered in bleu cheese, buffalo sauce, and onion rings. Surprisingly good, especially considering all the unappetizing walking corpses decorating the walls. I was a little disappointed to see the owners don't make their employees wear zombie makeup while on shift; I suppose those stupid health code laws got in the way of that scheme. It's enough to make an American push for greater deregulation.

That burger looks awfully puny by Midwest standards. Unless those are just giant freaking fries.

I don't think those are onion rings, they just look like pieces of onion. Where's the breading?

I'm glad this is only a 2-part series or your next story woulda been "Coronary Care Units of Des Moines".

Despite the gloomy wall, Des Moines burgers are definitely delicious!

But i realized that its zombie theme makes it unique and i kind of like it!

I hope that many of us will be able to experience the food!
