Water Main Break Cuts Service to Much of Southeast Seattle

Posted by on Wed, Jan 4, 2012 at 7:55 AM

I was wondering why I have almost no water pressure this morning. According to an SPU press release:

An early morning water break on South Juneau Street, just east of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., cut off or reduced pressure in about a 200-square block area — roughly bordered by 32nd Ave South to the west, to Wilson Avenue South on the east; and from South Alaska Street on the north down to South Graham Street, on the south.

Emphasis on "roughly bordered" — my house is a block south of South Graham. No word yet on when service might be restored, but I sure would love a shower.

You work at the Stranger. I don't think showers are necessary (just ask Brissey).

@1: Showers? We barely have running water. Most of us just poop in the alley behind the East Precinct.
