So SANTORUM has PENETRATED the consciousness of voters, SLIDING into the lead. He must be OOZING smugness right now. Now that he has been THRUST into the spotlight I wonder if he can KEEP IT UP, SPREADING SANTORUM all over the country! Or will he fall into the DEEP DARK HOLE of political obscurity?

Does part of you Dan kind of like that he won Iowa?

This is strictly anecdotal, but someone in a facebook comment thread quoted CBS as saying at one point this evening, "When it comes to the Republican nomination, Romney may get it in the end but he'll have Santorum on his back." Please let this be true!
