It's a damn shame when you drop one of those cups. They always explode on impact.

Animals. They should just fence off the whole Green Lake neighborhood and let them eat each other.

How much longer to we have to put up with this? It's political correctness gone mad.

Run down by a reckless shopping cart.

Wake up, Seattle. Fruit cups are dying out there. If you really want a war on shopping carts, this is how you start one.

It took seven posts to get to the shopping cart reference? Sheesh!

Last time my car was broken into, the burglar left empty fruit cups behind. IT WAS IN GREENLAKE! TO THE MYSTERY MACHINE!

Grant - why do you do these posts? They aren't interesting in any way whatsoever. Pull it together - do something ambitious or half way unique in the music section - and stop posting this crap.

@ Buzzy: You think I'm not doing anything ambitious or unique in the music section? Tell me more. I look forward to your answer.

I did sort of like The Things Music Did to Us this week, but otherwise it is the same old - do a profile of a band coming to town, toss in an occasional cd review, musings on the local scene. And of course there are the thoroughly unamusing attempts at whimsy such as the kid reviewing Tumble Bee and the abysmal SXSW bathroom thing. Although not wholly unique, how about a comics review or article (bands you should know, music history, dance moves, bands that represent good or evil, etc.) a la Ellen Forney. Why not more guest reviewers (listen to the Sound Opinions podcast this week)? Album forums (for and against, group reviews, cab driver vs. cab driver) to review new cds. How about being a little less supportive of the local scene? Local bands we hate! (and why). Shows that changed our lives. Music reviewed by people over 70. Bands I love so much I would tattoo their names on my face. Have musicians write about what they should know about their specific instruments (drummers talking about specific drummers and why they were amazing), photo essays of something happening locally (Kelly O could get amazing shots of the scene) - fashion experts analyzing her subjects. Don't overly focus on the local scene. That only appeals to a limited audience. If a local band is amazing, certainly talk them up. Otherwise is is dull for 95 % of your audience. Just some things to consider...

I was in Greenlake today and there was dog shit all over the place. On the sidewalks, medians, in front of houses. What's wrong with your neighbors?
