Yesterday, I posted the announcement that the artist John Chamberlain has died.

"So odd—I thought of him two days ago when I saw a carrier full of crushed cars go by," former Stranger art critic Emily Hall posted on my Facebook link.

A Slog commenter, porchedge, reminded me that the Virginia and Bagley Wright Collection in Seattle includes a significant Chamberlain. It's called Toots Wheat, and it's from 1989. It's not on display now at the Wright Exhibition Space—which actually doesn't have a show up currently. The next show opens mid-February, and probably won't include the Chamberlain, curator Jan Day says. But here's an image to hold you over until you next meet...
