Consider this your holiday reminder that Davis represents the tail end of a generation of people who were unfortunately raised to hate themselves because of who they love. I have no doubt that there will be more Republican politicians who express their self-loathing by legislating against their own interests in the days to come, and I'm sure that their inner truths will continue to out themselves in some hilariously inappropriate ways. But there will be fewer and fewer of these kinds of politicians as the march of progress rolls on, and one day—probably one day in your lifetime—the gay-hating closet case Republican will just be a not-so-fond memory. God bless us, every one!

It's actually pretty easy to maintain separation between your personal and public life: DON'T USE YOUR CITY CREDIT CARD. What he did was wrong not because it's a "gay lifestyle store" but because he STOLE THE MONEY FROM THE CITY.

He's a conservative politician: the only thing that is missing are drugs and a professional sex worker.

Speaking of which, I am REALLY curious as to what he bought at the sex shop.
