Found at 11th and Pike: "This is the largest cart of art supplies I've ever seen in my life."

Posted by on Tue, Dec 20, 2011 at 9:01 AM

A man named Jeremy left me a voicemail at some point this past weekend. Seems he came across an unguarded cart of art supplies at the corner of 11th and Pike on his way to an appointment. After the appointment, the cart was still unguarded, so, afraid the supplies would be trashed or stolen, he picked them up and is trying to find their owner.

Tips?

Sounds like the art cart guy who "lives" in the 10th/Union building (and was yelling at the Occupy Seattle squatters to get out of his building)

11th and Pike? My tip would be, have whoever's in the Stranger office go downstairs to peek if it's still there. Then report back.

I'm guessing it was someone's (cute) idea of an art grant.

The artist lives on the street there. Please return his supplies. If you don't know our neighborhood keep your hands off. The artist lives on the street here and he creates his art on the street. He could be homeless from the looks of the places he carved out for himself.

Well...we aren't going to allow his 'place' to be on the corner. I thought it was something the comet had put there while they were cleaning out a room or something.

We can't just let people set up 'house' wherever the fuck they feel like in public spaces that we use in common.

@6 Let's just jail the homeless. That's the solution we always turn to anyway.

Whose skirts are you planning on standing behind, @6, while you shout "Begone!"?

The guy who owns those, lives where ever you find them. Which is usually between union and pike, and on 11th.
Get a clue or get of the hill.

Whoa, you guys. Chill the fuck out. Jeremy is clearly trying to do the right thing here. Now he knows there's an artist living on 11th between Union and Pike, and the next time he sees art supplies unattended he should walk on by. But wanting to make sure they don't get stolen is a kind and generous act. Back the fuck off.

Thats true.. that true. Peace to Jeremy.
I just figured the hammock hanging between the two dumpsters right next to it, and all the paintings of Aqua Teen Hunger force would have made it kind of obvious.
