Little Saigon is practically my kitchen. The food at several of the delis (Seattle Deli, Saigon Vietnam Deli, and so on) is cheap, delicious, and satisfying. That said, let's turn to these bushes, which exist in the middle of my kitchen:

What you are looking at is a city of rats. They are in there. They live, eat, and breed there. Great gains in the eternal war against rodents would be made if an attack was directed on these bushes. At present, the rats seem to think it's fine to make the bushes their base of operations, which lately have been brazenly conducted in broad daylight. Admittedly, my walks about the city are more and more interrupted by rat activity. This winter might be a touch too mild.
