Canada also wanted us to tell you this:

Looking for the quintessential Christmas experience? Vancouver, British Columbia is one of the best Christmas getaways in North America. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, the beautiful Canadian city offers spectacular Christmas sightseeing and activities, without the frostbite.

A Very Vancouver Xmas is a winter destination offering information on booking all the festive experiences for families and couples of all ages in one place. If you’re planning a visit to the temperate Winter Wonderland, www.VeryVancouverXmas.com is the source for free and inexpensive Christmas attractions across the city, with a hotel and activity booking system that allows reserving the best seasonal sights and accommodations with ease.

In an effort to show all of Washington State how wonderful this city is at Christmas time, Very Vancouver Xmas would like to offer a two-night stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Vancouver, B.C. (subject to availability), as well as passes to the Jewel Box of Lights, one of Vancouver’s newest Christmas attractions. Bloedel Conservatory’s tropical plant kingdom has been transformed into a glowing masterpiece. Experience spectacular lasers and twinkling waterfalls in a truly unique setting. Just like a real rainforest—there’s so many plants and animals to see.

So, again, just contribute (any amount!) to the Slog vs. Gawker Holiday Charity Challenge between now tomorrow noon!

Then forward your receipt to ih8gawker@thestranger.com, and you will be entered to win!

YES!!!

If I'm doing the headline math correct, Gawker raised $1?

@1 well, they raised more, but they spent it all on tips for bands drink tix, not realizing that's management's problem, not theirs.
