Theater George Mount Is the New Artistic Director of Seattle Shakespeare Company

He was the acting artistic director after longtime artistic director Stephanie Shine abruptly left. Now he is the actual artistic director.
I was hoping the board of Seattle Shakespeare Company would hire someone with curlicues in the brain and a jetpack on the back to rocket the company into a wonderful, unexpected direction. Fingers crossed.

Well, the jetpack would be nice, but then SSC would get sued by We Were Promised Jetpacks ...

I envision Will's brain as a lottery machine in which the same couple of dozen fragmentary thoughts encapsulated in otherwise-empty lightweight spheres spin around in a dizzy whirl and emerge randomly, a few at a time.

Here's to hoping. The last few SSC productions I've seen have been really awful. Totally tanked Midsummer Night's Dream - and how is that possible?
