I always say you get more outta life with sugar, than with vinegar. Also, what is wrong with me: I've watched this waving bear video about 15-20 times...

I've always heard it as "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar", which raises the question for me, "why the hell do you want more flies?"

@1 if I remember my childhood tales aright you catch flies to keep them from buzzing around your head while you cobble.

As if wearing the bear suit for the third shift at the budget wildlife preserve weren't bad enough, co-worker Shane told some of his friends to come through and see if they can't get poor Darrel to break character again.

that's the kodiak bear out at olympic game farm, right? i have fond childhood memories of a tiny italian man who trained the bears - he'd yell "hup, hup!" and they'd stand up with their front legs in the air. then he'd reward them with a hug and their fur would totally envelop him.
i still can't resist asking those bears to stand up every time i go there. what a weird and fantastic place.

I love going to that wildlife park over in Sequim. The bear will also show you all its teeth for a slice of bread.
