"Eye In The Vagina" at Detroit Medical Center

Posted by on Tue, Dec 13, 2011 at 5:24 PM

This story really struck a chord with me, because I also ended up at Detroit Medical Center once—not for having an eye in my vagina, but because I accidentally swallowed a 4-inch hanging nail. Read all about vagina-eye here.

It's the Eye of Vagina
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks her prey in the night
And she's watching us all with the Eye...of Vagina

I once examined a middle-aged very middle class lady who complained of bleeding and when I looked I found a hairball up in there. Really. Just like you take all the matted hair off your brush....just like that. She didn't offer an explanation, or seem surprised. I did ask if she was ok at home and she said yes.

She came back a few years later with the same complaint and I found the same thing.

I'm still not sure what to think about that.....

Check out those photos. You will never run with ANYTHING in your hand or mouth again! Kelly, please get that persistent headache checked out. (might be explosive.)

And then there was the lady with the fishing bobber. You know: the red and white kind. But at least I have some idea what that was about.....

@2 Maybe she was trying to make her own cervical cap, or had been doing too much reading on historical practices in attempting birth control.

Hairball just reminds me of the old practice of using moss and bark as a way of preventing pregnancy.

@5 yeah, good point....except she was menopausal.....

Seriously, I cannot figure what that was all about. I have been doing GYN for decades and have never seen it other than in that one woman.

What? That doctor "couldn't figure out" why people would stick vegetables in themselves? K dude: they're cheap-ass dildos for people who are too cheap/poor/young to get the real thing. I mean really. Were you just being coy or something?

Then there was the person from Kelly's hometown, who went to the ER with an ink pen in their rectum........signing the paperwork was a real treat to watch!

There are a couple of tidy paragraphs about this sort of thing in Graham Chapman's "Liar's Autobiography", along with a nifty solution to getting a pesky bottle removed from one's anus.
