Newt Gingrich Proudly Defends Marriage from People Like Newt Gingrich

Posted by on Mon, Dec 12, 2011 at 12:29 PM

Newt Gingrich has endorsed—but not signed—a marriage pledge from an Iowa evangelical group. How many hypocrisies can you count in the following excerpt from the New York Times?

On Monday, the Family Leader released a response by Mr. Gingrich, who gave what he called a solemn vow “to defend and strengthen the family.”

“I will support sending a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman to the states for ratification,” Mr. Gingrich wrote. “I will also oppose any judicial, bureaucratic, or legislative effort to define marriage in any manner other than as between one man and one woman.”

He also said he would “uphold the institution of marriage through personal fidelity to my spouse and respect for the marital bonds of others.”

Wow! Newt Gingrich's balls must each be about the size of his head, if he thinks he can get away with that kind of bullshit-tossing.

Balls the size of his head? That's funny; I just looked up Buster Gonad for entirely unrelated reasons.

"...one man and one woman", err... Newt's on his third.

Nearly every one of these candidates has the balls to share what God has allegedly spoken to them (i.e. "Gingrich told listeners he’d since turned "to God to receive forgiveness and to receive mercy."). Just once, I'd like a candidate to rebut with, "I spoke with God, and he told me Newt wasn't forgiven." Then it's ON.

respect for the marital bonds of others.

In Newt's case that would be marital junk bonds.

#4 Newt is a serial monogamist, surely (May I call you Shirley?) you have heard the term?

Swollen balls, as in Pinocchio's nose? Nah, I think it makes more sense to say his balls shrink each time he tells a hypocritical fib. Hmmm. I guess his balls must be down to the size of chickpeas by now. Ugh.

@6 I think when you cheat on your spouse that means you aren't monogamous and he started having sex with Mrs. Gingrich #2 and #3 while still married.
