Bill O'Reilly Is an Umbrella-Wielding Wuss

Posted by on Thu, Dec 8, 2011 at 10:08 AM

Last night, a community organizer in Wisconsin tries to ask FOX News anchor Bill O'Reilly a simple, factual question—and found himself at the business end of O'Reilly's umbrella. O'Reilly then tries to have him arrested.

Bitch broke his umbrella! Thank you, RightWingWatch.

I'm wondering if he would have been arrested if he didn't have video evidence.

People with cameras should follow Bill O'Reilly everywhere he goes and shout questions at him. It would only be fair.

Bill OReally made a career and millions of dollars by sending aggressive cameramen out to stalk anyone he considers unpure. It's particularly amusing how angry he gets when faced with even the mildest version of his own medicine.
I'm not particularly a fan of this sort of political paparazzi, but if anyone should be on the receiving end of it it's Bill OReally.

Too bad the cops didn't arrest O'Reilly and treat him just like every 6'6" 240# black man who beats a young white boy with an umbrella bad enough to break it. Woulda done him a world of good.

@2: actually they should just silently follow him, holding a loofah and staring accusingly. I'd give it a week, tops, before he broke.

Right, because at long last if only the truth of Bill O'Reilly's hypocrisy were revealed to the world, his career would be over. The problem is that nobody before has caught him contradicting himself. Bill O'Reilly's fans would be shocked if they only knew. Fox News would not keep him on the payroll if they only saw evidence of what the man is really like.

Oh, also. That's not angry Bill. That's Bill O'Reilly's normal. Bill O'Reilly angry is way worse than that.

Isn't it a legitimate question to ask a political commentator whether he was at a politician's fundraiser? I'm still amazed that conservatives don't think the rules apply to them.

More of this, please. The man has a horrible temper, and it wouldn't be hard to get him to do something even stupider than pushing someone with his umbrella.

Why don't people in this type of situation file assault charges. They have video evidence and in this case there appeared to be witnesses. The nuisance value alone is priceless.

I'm with #4. He's on camera attacking someone with an umbrella and wasn't charged with assault?

I'm not surprised that he assaulted somebody asking him a simple question. It must be difficult to shout others down without the support of his studio team. I'm more disturbed by the comforting hand of the cop at 0:35. Who do you serve, indeed.

I hate billy as much as the next guy but I think you should be allowed to hit someone in the face with your umbrella if they are annoying the shit out of you.

@14 - Oh, slippery slope, that.

@4, 10, 12: Yeah, file charges. I bet all sorts of lawyers would take this one on for a minimal fee just for the pleasure of throwing O'Reilly in a cell.
Who am I kidding? The bastard would get two weeks of probation under our legal system.

@5 - God, I love that idea so much I should marry it. A loofah and a little tub of falafel. Everywhere the fuckstick goes.

Bill O'Reilly was right to press criminal charges. The fellow was obviously guilty of resisting assault.

Bill O'Reilly reminds the world, not all cowards are bullies, but all bullies are cowards.

Why haven’t we had an official response to the rumor that Bill O'Reilly raped and murdered a girl in 1990?
