Picha and Mark, owners of Thai Curry Simple, are expanding beyond their original tiny storefront in the ID and beyond their Thai hut of to-go awesomeness on Capitol Hill. Here's the letter they just sent:

Your New Favorite Former Monkey Bistro: Serving curry and noodles starting in February.
  • Your New Favorite Former Monkey Bistro: Serving curry and noodles starting in February.

I was told from many people that you were speaking highly about us. We were so happy and flattered. Thank you so much. You are the one who got people's attention and willing to try our food—without you we wouldn't make it this far.

I want you to be the first person to know that we will be open another Thai Curry Simple at South Lake Union. We took over formerly Bad Monkey Bistro located at 400 Boren Ave. N. the space is about 3000 sf. and can be accommodate 95 people. I'm so excited about the bigger space with fully equipped kitchen and more room to create a new menus in the future.

The menu will be the same at TCS International District. The lunch menu includes rice and curries, pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mow, and roti. The restaurant is projected to open in February 2012. The price range for lunch is between $6 - $10.

Best wishes for a holiday to you and your family,

Picha & Mark

This is great news for the proles of SLU. As I've extolled before: The TCS curries are made of freshly mashed spices from Thailand; you get your choice of brown rice or jasmine rice; and Mark and Picha are so nice you'll want to shoot yourself.
