As we know, Slog is kicking Gawker's ass in raising money for charity. As of today, we've raised $9,185 more than Gawker, all of it going to help the hungry at Northwest Harvest.
And guess what? Canada thinks Slog readers are WAY more generous, smarter, and better-looking than Gawker’s—Canada says it hasn't even looked at Gawker since it-can't-remember-when—and Canada wants to help, too!
As part of a Very Vancouver Xmas, Canada has offered Slog a two-night stay at the downtown Hyatt in Vancouver, B.C. (any night in December 2011, subject to availability), as well as two free passes to the Festival of Lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden—a veritable winter wonderland including Santa’s Living Room, hella elves, a dancing show, gingerbread houses, choirs, a candy-cane express train (TOOT TOOT!), thousands of glowing lights, and more.
The winner will be chosen at random from those who contribute (any amount!) to the Slog vs. Gawker Holiday Charity Challenge in the next 24 hours! Just forward your receipt to firstname.lastname@example.org, and voila (as they say in Montreal!), you will be entered to win.
