Is Mike Beaudet a Panty-Sniffing Perv?

Posted by on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 10:41 AM

I'd never heard of this Mike "Investigative Reporter" Beaudet person before he filed this "story." Here's a picture of Beaudet. He looks likes a panty-sniffing perv to me. Maybe worse. Hey, does anybody out there got any dirt on Beaudet? Sexts? Dirty emails? Porn rental or purchase histories?

If you've got proof that Beaudet isn't morally fit to hold the position of authority he currently holds in his community, now is the time to come forward.

It says so much that Americans are more interested in rousting out supposed deviants than keeping teachers in jobs. Can we go back to the days when communities were so desperate for teachers they shipped them in from across the country and gave them homes and stipends to live off of?

1. Stop paying attention to attention whores (e.g., Fox "news")

2. Write or call businesses that advertise on Fox "news" and tell them you won't buy their products as long as they advertise on Fox.

Here is his Facebook. I'm sure there has to be some information that could be dug up that would induce shrill outrage by someone:

No idea who this guy is or if he's a panty-sniffing perv. But if he works for Fox, he's definitely a whore.

"Hytch Cawke" is the funniest nom de porn in ages. If the poor fella is hounded out of teaching, he could seize on the brief notoriety and do a bit of directing. "Rear Wham-Dow", "North by Northween", "Spellbound and Gagged", "The Trouble With Hairy", "To Throat-Fuck a Thief".

You know, the teacher who ran a porn website should have been disciplined because she was using her school laptop to maintain the website. But this guy seems to have done porn in the past and gotten out of it before he took the teaching job, and now they're trying to fire him for it?
I call bullshit.

This, combined with the fact that accusations Cain assaulted a woman did not shake his campaign but allegations of an ongoing consensual affair are being treated as the death blow to it, is making me lose my faith in this country.

Obligatory facebook group supporting the poor guy and opposing the über-asshole:

1) It seems obvious that Beaudet was watching one of the movies and recognized Hogan.

2) What are their respective salaries? Can the outrage that one of our teachers is selling his body for money be leveraged into an across-the-board raise in the district?

I sure hope the U.S. someday gets beyond this sort of Faux-prudish sensationalism, but its current existence SHOULD give pause to all those young bucks doing a few flicks for Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher, who for the most part will have to move on to other sorts of careers some day.

State-university tuitions crashing thru $10k/year and racing for the $25k mark don't make such second thoughts likely, though.

Is Mike a panty smelling perve? Dunno. What he does appear to be is a morally bankrupt witch-hunter with a specialty in ruining the lives of others, something that apparently has already led to one death:

So "investigative reporting" now includes trolling the internet and video stores for year-old gay porn? Maybe there are more than skeletons that need to come out of Mike Beaudet's closet.

I have no problem with a teacher who is/was a porn star, stripper, or even prostitute (in Nevada), so long as he/she is a good teacher! Then again, I'm a decent parent who wouldn't let my kids watch porn or go to a strip club. Heaven forbid parents actually parent their kids rather than expecting the school to. In this economy, money is money!

helped him with purchasing his textbooks for his Master's in journalism from Northeastern about 4 years back. Had an air of self-importance that didn't dissolve even when unable to read shelf tags.

his stories on Fox 25 were almost always 3rd-rate Geraldo-type journalism. Fox 25 was a laugh-a-minute media enterprise while I lived in Boston.

I just remembered the teasers for his reports, where he is shown saying, "I'd appreciate it if you took your hands off of me!" in a pinched, wussy-like way, to a angry interviewee, as though it were a validation of his hard-boiled reporting skill

And yet we think so highly of Halle Berry... didn't she do a risque sex scene in a movie once?

When are people going to stop with these witch trials? So he does porn on the side. Unless he whips his dick out in class, does anyone REALLY care?

And wow, FOX is "investigating" at porn shops?! That's just sad journalism.

There's a "feedback poll" attached to the story asking if the teacher should be allowed to keep his job. As I write this 82% have said yes. Score another one for the Sloggers!

The problem here is there is nothing wrong with being a panty-sniffing perv, or writing dirty e-mails to a consenting adult or renting porn, and every time we use that as a means to bring down the morons who think there is something wrong with these things, we send a double standard. He wouldn't be morally fit to hold his position if he did something unethical, like not properly vet his sources, make poor logical arguments or misquote a source. As a journalist, these things are strict no-no's. Searching for those things coupled with sane discussions as to why this guy shouldn't be fired from his job is the way to go. Demonizing panty-sniffing, dildo buying and porn watching because HE thinks it's wrong is not the way to go.

@28, I disagree. There's nothing wrong with being a panty-sniffing perv -- unless you're a panty-sniffing perv who uses a position of power or influence to destroy the life of anyone with a sex life or embarrassing sexual history. In such a case, exposing the panty-sniffing perv as a total hypocrite is not only fair, it's wonderful. Because it's not the panty-sniffing we're exposing. It's the hypocrisy. It just like how there's nothing wrong with being gay, but it's fun to observe how totally gay Marcus Bachmann looks and sounds, and to celebrate the downfall of closet-case gay homophobes who try to destroy other gays. Totally justified.

Fox issued an "apology" segment in which Beaudet unapologetically questions whether Hogan has a "sound moral character":

So far the article only has a paltry 30 comments and I'm sure Mike Beaudet would love to hear our feedback.

If this teacher was just kinky behind closed doors, it wouldn't be an issue. But because there are porn flicks (in other words, "proof"), that makes him inappropriate as a teacher?

I have 2 kids, educated in public school, and if one of their teachers had been in a porn movie, I'd have said "so fucking what?!". The movies did not involve kids; the teacher never exposed the kids to the porn, and there is no mention of any inappropriate behavior by this teacher.

What happens in this guy's porn movies, just like what happens in his bedroom (or kitchen, or living room, etc.) is nobody's business. It didn't affect his ability to teach. This should be a non-issue, and the school district should re-instate the teacher. This guy shouldn't lose his job because he did a few movies.

I always wonder just how it is that stuff like this is found. There is just sooooo much porn on the internet, it seems like you'd really have to watch a lot of it to spot someone who looks familiar. AND, there are a lot of people who have someone else out there who looks uncannily like them. What proof does that douchebag reporter have that the dude in the porn movies is actually the guy he's accusing of being in them, and not someone who looks similar to him? And, right - the kids are going to see if they can find the movies now that would never have sought out such stuff before.

I must say I'm glad to see the resounding outpouring of support that's arisen for this teacher. And I don't think it's just Slog and the other liberal blogs that reported on this. If you go to the original story there are hundreds of replies, a solid 95% of them in favor of the teacher and telling the reporter to kiss their collective asses. The poll is still strongly in Hogan's favor as well, at 85%. His students are doing all the can to get him back.

Nice to see the shoe on the other foot for once.

@36, sadly, he is almost certain to lose his job and his teaching career ANYWAY, because the school administration is terrified of the tiny percentage of shrieking pearl-clutchers; they can't imagine what to do if someone shoved a TV camera in THEIR face and asked them why a known sex-haver (in some other time and place, but still) was allowed to remain in proximity to the CHILDREN!!1!

Yet another example of the tyranny of the minority.

@34(Barbara), I've wondered that myself. Maybe there is somewhere a "Google-Porn" service that you can upload photos of random strangers to and which will return the most likely match found in a porn movie? I'm sure Mr Beaudet (Bidet?) would love such a website...

Did you know that Mike Beaudet and his producer Kevin Rothstein are both part-time faculty at Emerson's Journalism Department? Can you imagine these guys teaching this kind of stuff to the next generation of aspiring TV journalists? Horrifying!

Mike Beaudet and Kevin Rothstein set out to deliberately destroy Kevin Hogan's teaching career by having people question if he's fit to teach high school English. How about subjecting them to the same thing and having people question if they're fit to teach college journalism classes? You can write to the Department Chair Professor Ted Gup at ted_gup@emerson.edu. Professor Gup needs to know that these two sleazebags have disgraced his department and the entire Emerson community, and that the brand of journalism they practice shouldn't be taught to students.

While your at it, Mike Beaudet and Kevin Rothstein can be reached at michael_beaudet@emerson.edu and kevin_rothstein@emerson.edu, respectively.

Students and parents are mobilizing in Malden against Mike Beaudet and are calling for a total boycott of Fox 25 News until Mike is gone and can't come back. Fox 25 has already tried to spin it defending it as an interesting debate issue but Fox Undercover was motivated by an informant who wanted to get at Mr. Hogan and a news segment that always seems to run their trailers during sweeps shows to get people to watch Fox 25 News at 10. Mike Beaudet doesn't interview: he smear campaigns and Fox will never ever admit wrong. In fact when they are criticized they just keep running more to show that they can do what they want. Mike will run a "some parents aren't so sure" segment as if he can ride on the discussion side but its always too late for his targets. Their careers are ruined. Always. Well guess what Fox 25, we the people of Malden and Boston are sick of you and we will keep driving Fox 25 News ratings down until you have gone just like your ex-producer Jonathan Wells. There is no way Rupert Murdoch and his greedy Boston division will spin this one. We the students of Malden are in power here: not Fox.

What a truly shocking story! If I'd known that adults that have had sex in the past were teaching my children, I'd take them out of school! If only all kids could go to one of those nice Catholic schools where the priests had all remained celibate throughout their lives, thereby obviously having no suppressed desires, our children would be free from the threat of moral corruption, and being happy to accept one on one choir practice from a kindly teacher. I remember Father MulCahey sharing his special throat medicine with me after school, to help my singing voice. He always made sure I closed my eyes in case it came out of the bottle too fast and missed my mouth, which it often did, bless him, but he always instructed me not to tell anyone because they might get envious of my special treatment. And envy is a sin! I've tried to find it in so many drugstores when I've had a sore throat, but to no avail. Anyway, let's keep sex out of the classroom and only employ verifiable virgins to teach us sex ed.

Mike Beaudet is currently being sued by a former "subject of his investigation" and the lawsuit is really worth a read because of the discovery assertions that it makes about the identify of the Fox affiliate WFXT in Boston. What people seem to continue to miss is that having a porn past could be a relevant subject for discussion about hiring a teacher (for me its not an issue with my kids) but that informing Fox and having them ambush the teacher instead of informing the school, smells of someone who wanted to get at this teacher or at the school.

Anyone here is the lawsuit about Fox 25 Boston which to me is actually one of the most interesting things uncovered by this.

New website out providing information to parents in all of the suburbs about the behavior of WFXT Mike Beaudet and his cameraman, around youth and communities. Parents are asked to confront Beaudet IN GROUPS. Address the issue later on (the person who he is trying to ambush) and advise him that if he thinks children are in danger, whether he contacted the police. Ask him to leave and contact the police. Ignore his rants about the target and just confront Beaudet in a group.
