It's much more mellow inside the state Capitol Building this morning, especially downstairs in the coffee shop where I'm surreptitiously listening to a legislator being lobbied on education. (Unfortunately, I suck at putting names to faces, so I'm not exactly sure who this legislator is, but apparently she opposes cuts to levy equalization, and supports shortening the school year, but with a promise of adding those days back should voters approve a revenue package. Must be a Democrat.)

There were fewer state troopers guarding the doors, but new today are nifty signs outlining what is and is not permitted inside the building. Apparently, reasonably "disrupting the normal conduct of government" is still hunky-dory, it's only "unreasonably disrupting" that's now prohibited. Whatever that means. I suppose it's up to the state troopers to decide what kind of disruption is reasonable and what is not.

Also prohibited: "drugs, alcohol or weapons." Which I suppose means state Sen. Pam Roach and her son Stephen won't be allowed in the building.
