There are no words.

How did they find 3 people who collectively thought this was a good idea?

Good lord. The best of these sound like stuff that was cut from Henny Youngman's show sixty years ago, and the worst, well, like you say, there are no words.

The 'native Americans' one is so unintentionally hilarious. They think they are making fun of political correctness, but they are celebrating ass-backwardsness. Referring to native Americans as 'Indians' was due to some idot thinking they'd landed in India. Isn't jackass Glenn Beck a mormon? What's his claim to Pilgrim heritage anyway?

Thank god for the constant cacophonous interruptions with the title of the program reminding us that these vignettes are intended to be funny. I'm not sure we could have told otherwise.

Ugh. And I imagine the Native American concurs.

The problem is that Jon Stewart is actually a moderate (as evidenced by his work during the Clinton years) but he's working in increasingly polarizing times with a batshit GOP. There's just not as much material on progressive, pragmatic politicians actually trying to fix a struggling country.

The GOP misinterprets Stewart as a liberal and their "conservative alternative" humor can only exist in a hard-right realm that meet the same litmus test as their reined-in politicians.

In other words, it's possible for conservatives to be funny, but you won't find it among anyone supporting the current GOP.

I'll never get that 3 minutes and 57 seconds back.

It's not just that the jokes themselves are unfunny, I've seen 3rd grade school plays with better delivery. With the right delivery an unfunny joke can be funny. These people could take Carlin's best material and make it bomb.

I would also like that 3 minutes and 57 seconds of my life back.

I made it to the end of the 3rd bit and just couldn't go on. Is there anyone who would actually watch this for pleasure?

I made it all the way through, and it was so unfunny and full of failure that it actually became sort of funny by the end.

The only way this could possibly be funny is if the joke was how unfunny it is. Like, if it were featured on 'Parks & Recreation' as the work of Ron Swanson's improv comedy troupe.

@17: But it's only self-awarely awkward on the surface level, the level underlying is "fucking entitled Native Americans and their wanting to be called something different from what I want to call them." It's bitter and nutso and nasty when you get underneath the whole "rodeo cowboy" gimmick.

Interesting podcast with Chris Mooney on the personality types that gravitate toward certain parties, but I'll never understand why the GOP fails so miserably with humor... http://temcnally.podomatic.com/player/we…

About three minutes in, there's one in which the totality of the "comedy" is the phrase "went peepee in my teepee". My four-year old has literally just grown out of that phase. What does it say about the quality of your comic imagination (and your editor) that you would choose to write that and put it on TV?
