Yup, the just laid off the underutilised Wave and other groups that nobody cared about.

And the Wind And Solar Is Cheaper Than Coal team.

Amazing what growing energy federal subsidies for Coal can do, or pipelines from Canada to export the oil overseas thru the Gulf.

Will in Seattle: You've said approximately 78 billion things on this web site, but this may be the funniest one.

Jesus fucking Christ. Will sweeps the Non Sequitur Awards before the other contestants even have their warmups off.

Paul Constant is going to be mad at you, Mr. Brissey.

Yes, they do. Pretty sweet jobs, actually.

G+ is alive and thriving actually. Just because none of your Capitol Hill hipster friends are using it doesn't mean other people aren't.

@3: I'm not mad, but it's still way better than Facebook. (Of course, punches in the face are often way better than Facebook, too.)

Jobs in refining for rednecks. Jobs in construction in Red States.

And once it's done, the oil flows to other countries and your supply at xx dollars is now at xxx dollars cause you just got p0wnd.

Which part of So They Can Export It, Suckers, don't you get?

@5 is correct. The thing is, the gaming community there doesn't show up in your feed unless you ADD IT TO YOUR FEED and the recipient WANTS TO SEE IT.

So it looks quieter than it is.

GOOG company bonus this year supposedly revolves around the success of G+'s adoption.

I think this is one that Google is going to have to keep going in hopes of success. Much as MS did with Windows during it's years in the wilderness of W1.0 and Win2.0. They have the money to do it.

@10, he didn't call YOU a hipster; he said all your friends are Capitol Hill hipsters. CAN YOU DENY IT? WILL YOU DENY IT, SIR?

Google+ exists solely for people to insist it is better than Facebook. But the only thing that is going to replace Facebook in the lives of people is The Next Facebook, an invention that reinvents the way people interact online. Google won't be able to out-Facebook Facebook.

I have a Google+ account, but I keep forgetting about it. I find it fairly dull.

Larry Page has a six billion dollar hard-on for the social media space. Every silly valley CEO has his own personal white whale; it's just a little weird that Larry's turned out to be Friendster. As long as the AdWords/AdSense money machine keeps printing, he's gonna keep pouring that money into G+, at the expense of other more interesting (and likely more profitable) projects.

I cannot express how glad I am not to be working there any more.
