Here's Herman Cain, Dumbing It Down

Posted by on Fri, Nov 18, 2011 at 1:31 PM

I told you about Herman Cain's "leader not a reader" moment yesterday, but video wasn't available when I put the post up. You really should watch Herman Cain talking about how it's okay to be dumb:

Is it any wonder that Republicans are now flocking to Newt Gingrich? The general consensus is that Newt Gingrich is smart. He uses big words. He's got the condescending, huffy air of a college professor who just signed his first book deal. Gingrich is the anti-Cain. Once Republicans remember, though, that Gingrich was for an individual mandate before he was against it, that he has made some $37 million by talking to the health care industry, and that he made $1.6 million by advising Freddie Mac, in addition to all his other issues, their ardor will fade.

It's okay to be dumb if you're a Republican. As a Dem, I don't find stupidity to be cute.

Leaders who aren't readers have limited ability to tell if the people they surround themselves with are lying to them.

I'm trying to imagine him pitching this line to a bunch of school kids, and the look on the teacher's face.

Herman has never been good with slogans.

You probably didn't know that Cain thought "The Audacity of Hope" was in reference a girl named Hope who had a strangely shaped posterior.

Sadly, @4 is correct.

Even if they're desperate to find anyone to win instead of him.

It does go a long way towards explaining his promise that he won't sign any legislation more than three pages long.

"Is it any wonder that Republicans are now flocking to Newt Gingrich?"

I still have family who were gung-ho about Palin and love Cain now. Dumb is still king.

When people say "HA HA OBAMA IS SO SMART AND IS RUINING THE ECONOMY!", what do you expect?

Why would you think that Republicans would be upset about Gingrich making $1M+ from selling his influence? That's what they think is the proper way to make a living.
