Herman Cain Says: Toke Away!

Posted by on Wed, Nov 16, 2011 at 12:19 PM

Slog tipper Kevin sent along the news that Herman Cain, who doesn't often make sense, makes a little bit of sense on medical marijuana:

At a campaign stop in Urbandale, Iowa, Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said he supports letting states establish their own laws regarding medical marijuana.
"If states want to legalize medical marijuana, I think that's a state's right," Cain said, according to NBC News.

I guess if you babble on long enough, sometimes something that makes sense pops out.

The problem with low to zero information voters like Paul Constant is that he still doesn't get, nor will he probably ever.

At this point, things have become so completely corrupt, that it simply no longer matters whether or not whether legalization occurs.

Why? Because the FDA is completely corrupted -- by both branches of the bankster party -- therefore the same vile crappy chemicals and dangerous stuff to water it down, or increase the size and profit -- will still be in it.

The taxes won't be collected, as they biopharmaceuticals will end up being the top producers and distributors, and they successfully avoid paying federal taxes.

Yes, I have had several close friends who used it for pain avoidance in their last days (one who died from cancer from lifelong tobacco usage, the other who died from cancer, probably from Agent Orange in the military) --- and yes I do support legalization, but it almost is negligible given the absolute corruption of this corporate fascist state today.

So, if Cain sounds semi-sane on ONE and only one subject which is highly negligible today, ONLY a Paul Constant zero information voter would or could be impressed!

He doesn't want pot legalized. He doesn't want his state to legalize it. He just wants the federal government destroyed.

@1: "Because the FDA is completely corrupted -- by both branches of the bankster party -- therefore the same vile crappy chemicals and dangerous stuff to water it down, or increase the size and profit -- will still be in it."

Blah blah fluoride sapping my precious bodily fluids and other unmedicated schizophrenic blatherings.

You guys read into this all wrong. He said this in Iowa to a conservative group. States rights is a dog whistle to certain far right groups. If you track down the context you will find that he went on to discuss how almost everything is a state's right.

If a state wants to zap immigrants and liberals with an electric prod while crossing against a light, why that's the state's right! Also, pizza is officially a vegetable, motherfuckers! Congress said so!

Yeah, well Senator Obama said essentially the same thing in 2007, and look where we are with that.

who gives a shit about mj laws? all drugs [and everything else ] should be legalized and pushed on everyone. Every citizen of the planet should be experimenting with home cloning kits while jacked on super-neo meth [the safe relatively healthy kind] No more bs liberal arts ed. [just forced X and psilosibin at regualr intervals. ANd dont give me the bs argument about the "vulnerable, underprivledged population and addiction". Its a fact that addiction can be easily cured with various techno-cocktails [currently illegal] or death in extreme cases. I know your proud about your ability to tolerate other humans with different skins and sexual behaviors but your "progressive" platform essentially runs about as deep as deep as your tribal tatoo and the hOPE sticker peeling off your prius. If your not ready and willing to evolve please fukk off [and die or whatever]

Typical wet blanket post from @1.

This just shows that Herman Cain is desperate to get the sexual harassment issue behind him, and take on a populist cause. Notice that he is only supporting medical marijuana, not all uses of marijuana. He sure doesn't want to alienate the bible belt voters, so he took a typical nuanced, political stance.
