According to Jacket Copy, the New York City mayor's office Tweeted this afternoon that the Occupy Wall Street Library, which many feared was destroyed last night, is in fact all together and unmolested at a sanitation garage on 57th Street. The library reportedly "can be picked up Weds." They included a photograph of the books.

It looks like even Mayor Bloomberg is smart enough to know that you just can't go fucking with books. Ripping up the tent was still a dick move, but at least the city isn't as dumb and evil as everyone suspected.
