Late in the evening last Friday, three men tipped over a man in a wheelchair onto the corner of 22nd Avenue and East James Street, twisted off his backpack, and took everything of value inside—which was only three dollars—according to a police report.

The horrible-yet-technically-alleged event in the Central District began like this: While wheeling himself northbound on 22nd Avenue, three men were walking south. According to police records, one of the men told him to "give me what you got." When the disabled man told them he didn't have anything, one of them reportedly "grabbed his backpack which was attached to the front of the wheelchair." Next the perpetrator allegedly "yanked and twisted and pulled [the victim] and wheelchair over on to the sidewalk."

The alleged-piece-of-shit robber then started looking through the backpack while his companions watched. After finding the grand total of three dollars in the backpack, he allegedly took all three dollars and walked away.

SFD treated scrapes on the top of the disabled man's hand, and SPD Detective Dentinger, the author of the report, gave the victim enough change to catch his bus.
