I've never seen the faces of goose steppers that closely before. They look exhausted.

And here I was thinking that rock was the soundtrack of capitalism.

That was shot for the Guardian by Dan Chung. Some little dweeb put a soundtrack to it and is now collecting ad hits on youtube.

It's too bad that the only edit done was to remove any credit to the people who actually did the work.

That video makes me want to run away and join North Korea.

I cannot heartily enough recommend the outstanding documentary "A State of Mind". About the most intimate observation of North Korean life that is out there.

oh yeah, the reason I mention that the video is stolen is that once again Charles is perfectly comfortable aiding and abetting in theft. Be it his neighbor's TV or someone's hard work, Charles will stand by and help you get away with stealing it.

Credit where credit is due, not since the Nazis has a country put such a great military fashion show. Those naval troops look sharp! Why doesn't the dear leader get rid of the tan jump suit and put on one of those awesome generalisimo uniforms?

Mudede's Marxist paradise just doesn't seem appealing. When you bring up N Korea while debating a Marxist they'll say that N Korea is a bad example. Where's a good one then? I guess a 700 calorie a day diet and death from infection during minor surgery would be tolerable if you knew nothing else.

Now you're seeing what humans throughout most of our recorded history have valued most highly. Very, very few people prior to 1914 would have found this disturbing, and most would have viewed it as patriotic and uplifting.

Then neoliberalism came along.
