If they had really wanted to be dicks, they could have opened it yesterday when the Apple Stores went dark.

Microsoft are in the unfortunate position of having a product that is stable and a user base that is computer literate.

I own a PC and haven't been to a computer repair shop since the late 90s. I don't even know if they still exist to be honest. Alternately, people I know with Macs are going to the Mac Store seemingly every three weeks with a new "problem". What does that say?

@2,3 - I think your desire to start a PC vs. Mac argument is from the late 90s. Just use whatever you want or is most appropriate for the task.

Why the fuck do you people care? You sounds like rednecks from Montana who have beery arguements about which is better "Ford or Chevy".

I'd almost understand this weird Apple-cult and Seattle obsession with MS and whether it's cool or not if you were all stockholders in either company but I suspect most aren't.

Being a brand whore is annoying in a Gucci-wearing guido in Jersey just as annoying in West Coast yuppies.

This is interesting (well, to no one except me).

If you Google the phrase

That said, I

This SLOG article comes up as the number one hit.

It's hard to believe that this phrase would be that unique, or this article that well linked in so short a period of time after publication, that this should happen.

Yet...it do!
