Will It Ever Get Better for Poor Rick Santorum?

Posted by on Tue, Oct 18, 2011 at 1:31 PM

Slog tipper Rob sent this along. Seems that Rick Santorum is feeling "bullied" by Saturday Night Live:

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum criticized a "Saturday Night Live" skit that poked fun at his anti-gay marriage views by showing him seated at a gay bar in the Castro section of San Francisco.

Santorum — depicted by actor Andy Samberg in the sketch, titled "Yet Another GOP Debate" — suggested that the segment was "bullying" during an interview with New Hampshire radio station WGIR on Sunday. The former Pennsylvania senator said he had been "hammered" by "the left" for his support of conservative principles.

Yeah, Rick Santorum always wails after getting hammered. Poor little bigot. Doesn't he know that whining about Saturday Night Live doesn't make him seem strong? He's barely in the skit, for fuck's sake! He should be whining about his low visibility. Find much more, including the skit in question and Santorum's claims that the left "participates in bullying more than the right does," over at the Huffington Post.

He needs to buy a Chia Troll at Bartells and then at least one thing will love him.

"presidential hopeful"
I wish they'd stop using phrases like this for people that will clearly never have any "hope" of even getting more than 10% of the Republican vote.

Jebus. Even Palin took her licks on SNL with a modicum of grace.

Aw, poor frothy mix can't handle being bullied. Maybe he has the tiniest understanding how the gay kids he demonizes might feel. Probably not, though.

I forgot who Santorum was, so I just Googled him 10 or 12 times to remind myself.

Gross.

Rick Santorum is in favor of being tolerant of bigots, which makes him right at home in the GOP.

(Is a "grow up" appropriate in this thread?)

Can you picture him as President, whining to the press every time SNL or Jon Stewart said something mean about him?

Yeah, I can too.

For someone so full of Absolute Moral Imperatives delivered in his sternest voice, he sure is a wuss. He's like a panicky substitute teacher who has already lost control of the class.
