Murray Stenson Found!

YAY.

It's (arguably) a little early to be thinking about drinking, but for those who enjoy a well-mixed cocktail, a bit of great news: Best-bartender-ever Murray Stenson is back behind the bar—with Jamie Boudreau at Canon on Capitol Hill. Dream team!

After he left the Zig Zag, Murray was reportedly going to work at downtown's cacophonous new RN74 (it's probably yet more cacophonous there now due to the proximity of Occupy Seattle). For whatever reason, that didn't happen.

Canon's dark wood and low lighting and warm feeling are ideal for an October evening. Last night, Murray made me a rye and grapefruit and Benedictine cocktail. And it was good.

Couldn't happen to a nicer group of boozehounds. Isn't it wonderful how autumn becomes the ambient backdrop for everything?
