This just in from Storefronts Seattle founder overseer/forever friend o' The Stranger Matthew Richter:

Starting this fall and winter, Storefronts Seattle will be installing projects along Broadway on Capitol Hill (from Pine Street to Roy Street) in vacant storefront spaces, in partnership with the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce. (It'll also involve Sound Transit money and Broadway Business Improvement Association money.)

If you'd like a quote, I'd probably say something like, "Storefronts is here to protect the vitality and independent strength that Broadway has in spades. The fact that there are available retail spaces on Broadway, of all places, points to just how deep this recession is cutting. Storefronts is thrilled to be able to present work here and support an arts neighborhood and an artists' neighborhood."

You can see previous Storefronts artists and projects here, and look for new ones tucked here and there on Broadway before long.
