Let the Newt Gingrich Reunion Tour Officially Begin

Posted by on Wed, Sep 28, 2011 at 1:03 PM

Good news! The Eagles are getting back together, and they're coming to an enormous stadium near you to play only your favorite Eagles hits!

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich is set Thursday to release a 21st-century version of the “Contract With America,” the landmark 1994 document that outlined the Republican Party’s goals for the country and is credited with helping the GOP take over Congress that year.

Gingrich, who is running for president, plans to unveil his new plan at a campaign event at a financial services company in Des Moines. A key architect of the original contract, Gingrich has promised that the new one will be far more ambitious and will serve as a starting point for addressing the nation’s greatest challenges.

It's like the summer of '94 all over again. Man, why did Newt Gingrich ever break up, anyway? Oh, yeah. Never mind.

"Cannibals" indeed. You're right Newt, poor Marianne. It must've been the Democrats who put a gun to your head and forced you to fuck a House staffer at the same time everyone was out to get Clinton's penis in a vise.

Republicans are horrible people. The poor ones buy all of their furniture on contract, so the rich ones think they will like gimicks like this.

The GOP is like a big rent-a-center, only with worse taste and worse terms.

I find it hilarious that the Post has to point out that he's running for President. Because most people have probably forgotten by this point, if they ever knew to begin with.

This year's Contract with America is shorter. "Fuck you. Unless you're rich."
