Your Seattle Weather Report

Posted by on Mon, Sep 26, 2011 at 8:46 AM

It is raining.

Time to get the galoshes back out. Personally, I love a rainy Monday, but then again, I grew up here.

Right now: "Rain Shower." Today: "Rain/Wind." Tonight: "Rain."

If you are saddened, though, look at Wednesday and Thursday!

Good morning!

I was just telling someone this morning that I love the cold and rain. I thought I was the only one. Bethany, we should have a cold-rain party. We will drink cold, cloudy things.

It's good to hear someone who expects Seattle weather to be Seattle weather. This summer I got really sick and tired of imports from places like California and Idaho bitch and whine about the fact it's not searingly hot.

I figured as much, @5. But there may be those who have not heard of such delights.

@6 - I pity such poor, sober souls. I will drink my Monday martinis in their honor this evening.

Is it too early in the season to break out my happy light?

That weather report is pretty Zen of you, Bethany. :>)

Absolutely love it. I feel bad for people who can only be happy when its warm and sunny.

@MacCroc and rob!: How about a Dark 'n' Stormy?!

@10: What is the sound of one raindrop falling? If a raindrop falls in the woods and... Maybe it's all the rain as a kid—I honestly think it gave me a tolerance for boredom (and/or a low level of depression) that might look like philosophy in some (rainy!) light.

@12 - A Dark 'n' Stormy seems excessive. How about a Gray 'n' Drizzly?

Has anyone looked at lawns around this city (that aren't automagically watered daily)? They are all brown. We really do need rain.
