My sons are going to hate that their mom sent them this link but I also know they will pay attention to it.

Good job, Rhian.

Too lifelike! Holding what looks like a dismembered scrotum... that's the stuff of nightmares.

I'm watching this with the sound off, so perhaps someone could explain: why is this woman pulling figs out of her vagina?

@4 - You would have her leave them in?

@5:

Well, that's a good point - why did she put them in there in the first place?

God hates figs, but only when they become lodged in a woman's cooch.

@ Comte: because men will only pay attention to something if they think they'll get to see nekkid puss, better yet, women touching their own nekkid pusses for their insatiable porn-gaze.

Thus, this was a trick; ooh la la, she will masturbate on teh teevees! Oh, wait, balls? Oh, no, ball cancer?

Not very sexy. Then again, I don't believe that men are controlled by their biology or that they can't take something seriously, a la their health, without having to associate that something with sex. But, then again, I'm a humorless feminist, so what do I know.

@8 - Maybe she wasn't hungry earlier. Is she supposed to just carry them around all day in her hands?

I just had a calf castrated last week, and it looked a lot like that. A detached scrotum with a couple balls. The vet didn't look like Rhian though, unfortunately.

As usual, all the most creative cancer campaign work is being channelled into boy cancer (movember / Rhian), while breast cancer (predominantly girl cancer) is all pastel pink baloons and bake sales.

@16 - Correct me if I'm wrong, but a lot of women's cancer research has to appeal to a broad range of women of all ages, whereas testicular cancer primarily affects younger men, hence the appeal to sex here. The branding of women's health (and the pink breast cancer ribbon) was established a while back, when the women getting breast cancer were embarrassed to say "breast" in public, so I'm not terribly surprised they went with pink balloons and bake sales. It's a pretty innocuous and inoffensive way to talk to women.

As an alternative, would you have them put a man on the screen talking about how he'd like to see all the women out there fondling their boobs?

I see there's a new version of the testicular exam model, making this one obsolete:

@19 You're right. Those reviews are excellent! Truly superior waggishness. Thanks.
