"should of?" really?

The correct spelling is either "should have" or possibly "should've" in dialogue.

I really wish people would stop putting "cute" videos of their kids on youtube.

@1 - Just for that, I'm voting for "should of".

Any parent who exposes her child to Britney Spears has already learned to settle for mediocrity and give in because s/he doesn't know any better. Why don't you show a YouTube video of a similarly-aged child in the backseat of a car going into hysterics because the driver switched channels while Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" was playing?

That kid wouldn't survive a day in my house. Fits like that don't work for me.

Also: singing to Britney Spears? Whatever. There's nothing cuter than my two-year-old dancing to and singing all the words to "I Will Survive".

She obviously has her mother well-trained.

The usage "should of" instead of "should have" makes my eyeballs weep blood.

If I ever threw a tantrum like that when I was a kid, not only would I never get whatever it was I was begging for, I'd have a bunch of other stuff taken away, too.

My parents had home movies of me throwing a temper tantrum at Hersheypark when I was wee little (three or four, I think). My mom let go of my hand, let me drop to the ground and kick and scream, and started walking away from me (not very fast or very far, but enough to get a point across to a four year old). That tantrum ended really fast. Of course, that would probably be considered child abandonment these days...

Haha, 10 seconds in, I said to myself, "five bucks says this ends with the kid getting britney spears."

Big surprise. Shitty-ass parents.

God forbid a child ever experience any kind of disappointment.

My kid has never behaved even close to that. Tantrums are a one way ticket to naptime.

If my kid did act like that I would not think it’s cute and post it on youtube. That kind of hysteria would cause me to think something is seriously fucking wrong.

When I was a kid I would get a spanking if I threw a fit like that and refused to be quiet. Or one of my older brothers would punch me. But we didn't have Britney Spears back then.

Videos like this make me want to give thanks to little baby jezuz that I'm gay and never had kids.

I'm kind with @15. I'd pull that car over, let her know that if she didn't shut her yap, there would NEVER be any Britney Spears again. Then, when I got her home, time out.

That kind of behavior should NEVER be rewarded.

Good behavior gets good results, bad behavior and Mom's not happy.

While the kid's behavior is outrageous & under no circumstances should the kid be given what they want after behaving that way, it is enjoyable to see all the sanctimommies & smugdaddies make an appearance.

I like 15's advice, except when aboard an airplane. At that point, I beg of parents - please give in. Let the kid have what they want so they'll be quiet. When you've exited the plane feel free to implement time out or spanking or exorcism depending upon your personal beliefs. But airplanes are not the place to teach behavior modification.

agreed with @18/19 about airplanes, and I would like to say that I would not have participated in smugdaddiosity if it weren't for the fact that the parent in question decided to DOCUMENT THEIR SHITTY PARENTING DECISION ON YOUTUBE.

The ending of this video is the best part. It would seem the moral of the story is: this is her mother's denim cutoff clad crotch"

I think I would blast metal or industrial to cover my child's wailing. Her screams might just blend with the music.

At what point in this tantrum did the person who filmed this decide that he/she should be filming it? I have asked my high school students what they would think if their parents had posted every outburst they ever had. The majority replied that they would be appalled if their younger years were at the whim of their parents/adults. Not everything a child does needs to be posted.

Good luck to that mother in 5-10 years time. Clearly the kid knows how to get what she wants.

My god, I'm so worried for this child's future teachers. Way to go, Mom.
