Make It Braaaaaaain

Posted by on Sun, Sep 18, 2011 at 1:34 PM

If you must produce a fake-rap promotional video for your beloved video game, please follow these guidelines:

  • Substitute crazy nonverbal grunts and screams for words when possible.
  • Autotune the shit out of the few lyrics you do use.
  • Keep it short!

PopCap does it right in this bit of nonsense in support of Plants Vs. Zombies:

The Stranger Testing Department is Rob Lightner and Paul Hughes.

what did I just watch?
I'm sorry, but the disco dude zombie is far inferior to the Michael Jackson zombie that he replaced. I'm glad I have the early version of the game.

Is this old? I hardly think they need to promote Plants vs. Zombies now - it's a widely beloved game. I got all excited thinking maybe it was for a sequel or something :(

@7 The blog post seemed to be insulting the makers of it, I could be mistaken, but the "guidelines" listed seem a bit judgmental to me.
