Because she lost too much weight.

I'm not usually one to pay attention to celebrities and all that. But that picture of her in the gold dress is amazing.

God, she is ugly.

i heard a vegan on the radio this week saying he'd made himself immune to cancer.

PROVE IT.

I can't tell which picture I'm meant to be shocked at and which one I'm meant to be impressed with. Maybe some Daily Mail-style photoshopping is in order here.

I'd like to know why anyone gives a flying one about her (and half of Hollywood for that matter). I see Seattle women more attractive and charismatic than her all the time, just being Seattleites. And they don't have Marilyn tats on their forearms.

@6: yeah, they've got ICP tats there instead! zing!

Veganism can be done healthfully if one is willing to put forth the effort and research rather than blindly adhering to a sense of orthorexia.

I can't believe I cared enough to read that article, but in fact she went from eating "a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables . . . No bread, no sugar and coffee. But I had lost too much weight." to eating "a bit of everything." She skipped over plain-old vegan (all the bread, sugar, coffee, and cooked foods you want!) to omnivore. So . . . she's an idiot.

"For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables," she told Amica magazine, as excerpted by the Daily Mail. "No bread, no sugar and coffee. But I had lost too much weight."

Sounds less like she gave up a vegan diet and more like she gave up a stupid diet.

She started by eating her thumbs down to stubs.

She didn't give up a vegan lifestyle so much as a starvation one. She might be an idiot and an asshole, but she's still attractive.

No hate for her from me. Just hope she learns to have a well-balanced diet and gets to a realistic and healthy body weight.

@10: FORREAL. There are plenty of ways to be a fatty vegan -- frying everything, ALL OF THE CARBS, etc.

The implication of this post is that veganism leads to starvation, which is as silly as arguing that eating meat leads to morbid obesity. Clearly the problem wasn't veganism, it was that she wasn't eating enough. Otherwise this guy wouldn't be one of the toughest enforcers in the NHL, and these people wouldn't be boxing, bodybuilding, running marathons, etc.

Hail to my fellow sloggers, especially Irena. Bill Clinton seems to be doing quite well ...

@15: Well, also that she wasn't eating the right mix of nutrients. Your body needs fats and proteins to stay healthy. Carbs will fuel the fires, but you can't build or repair tissue with them alone.

You can get fats and proteins with a raw vegan diet, it's just very difficult to get enough calories and nutrients in general because it's so restrictive, particularly when you live in a culture that largely sustains itself on carbs, grease, and meat.

The diet she was on sounds ridiculous. I'm a vegetarian and spend quite a bit of time planning out how I'm going to get enough protein every day. "Raw fruits and vegetables" would be a nightmare, I really doubt that would provide enough fuel for regular exercise.

Yeah, I can't tell the difference between the "too skinny" and "just right" pictures. She looks like a toothpick with tits in both.

@25 I'm guessing that's why all the guys think it's "hot" for us to be nothing but skeletons. Also, proof that she's had implants .... no, I don't keep up on celebs and their lives (I don't even know who she is), yes, I'm a bit bored this Sunday.
