Religion Youth Pastor Watch

A youth pastor at a Solano County church has been arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with one of his underage female Bible study students.... John Edward Gamboa, 38, of American Canyon, was booked into Solano County Jail Tuesday for committing lewd acts with a child under age 14, contacting a minor to engage in lewd behavior, and burglary. Gamboa and the girl knew each other before they allegedly began talking and texting each other in February and March, Daley said. The girl's parents learned about the communication, mediated the issue through the church, and warned Gamboa to stop the inappropriate behavior, Daley said. The two resumed texting in July, and in August Gamboa allegedly snuck into the girl's home where he and the girl allegedly engaged in kissing and inappropriate touching.

Arkansas:

A former youth pastor faces multiple theft charges, including one charge for allegedly stealing from the church where he worked. Joey David Chapa, listed alternately as 35 and 38 years old, of rural Mountain Home, was arrested Thursday by Baxter County officers.... Chapa allegedly broke into the Brand New Church on July 29, where he was formerly a youth pastor, and allegedly stole two flat-screen televisions and a laptop computer.

That first one, with the parents who "mediated" the issue with their church rather than reporting the perv to the police, could be a cross-post on "every child deserves a mother and a father".

that's very obscure to not follow up with what happened to the accused. follow up with what happens to individuals on your blog or one day, one might accuse you and you'll be posted in hyperspace forever
