Hey, people! The Stranger now has a regular and, if we do say so ourselves, excellent fashion column. This week in Worn Out, Marti Jonjak tells of a woman who has made (among other things) underwear out of human hair:

...both Adrienne and her roommate had long blond hair, and the accrual of shower-drain clots "seemed really wasteful to throw away." So she harvested them instead, using the puffs of dead hair to form a range of conceptual art garments, such as gloves...

Comment #1, from AmyC: "oh, my god, drain-hair panties. there are no words." Read more.

And previously in Worn Out: a man who deals in extremely rare Levi's... the special models who can be really ugly... the guy who makes Mario's windows so cool... a secret celebrity in our midst... and briefs made for "fat and hairy men." Enjoy!
