On Hyperallergic today, there's a story about Laurie Frick, an artist who's been tracking her sleep patterns and making art out of them for years.

In college, I took a class called Sleep and Dreams, and it was taught by a man named Dr. Dement. Really. He's known as the father of sleep research, actually. And he reserved a place in the lecture hall for students who needed to sleep during class. You never had to feel bad sleeping during his lectures.
