Comedy Satan Didn't Write the Foreword for Cheney's New Book

Why? Because Satan, like his ultimate adversary, God, does not exist...

Publishing circles were abuzz today with the news that the new memoir by former Vice President Dick Cheney features a foreword by an unusual contributor: Satan.

In his introduction, the Prince of Darkness said he rarely reads political memoirs but made an exception in the case of Mr. Cheney “because we had worked so closely together in the past.”

Something that doesn't exist can't write a foreword for anybody. To write a foreword you must first exist in the world, and existing in the world means you are made of matter, much of which was manufactured in the core of stars. So you need stars for Satan to exist.

So, Borowitz believes the "Prince of Darkness" wrote the forward to Cheney's new memoir. Cheney a minion of Satan? Hmm? Bit of a stretch but Borowitz is entitled to his own fantasy.
