More Bad News for Christine O'Donnell

Posted by on Tue, Aug 30, 2011 at 12:16 PM

O'Donnell was supposed to open for Sarah Palin at a Tea Party rally in Iowa this weekend. But the rally's organizers yanked O'Donnell's invitation today. It seems that teabaggers have come to the realization that they're making their movement look ridiculous—making it look more ridiculous—when they take joke/vanity/no-hope candidates like O'Donnell seriously. So, um, when are they gonna yank Palin's invitation?

If I thought Palin had no hope then I might have some...but I think she is exactly what enough people want that she's still very dangerous.

When, exactly, did mediocrity become something to cheer? I blame Bill Clinton, I think, or at least the response to him. He was sharp as hell, & even his enemies usually admitted it. It's like GW and most every candidate fielded by the Right was a reactionary answer to him. Good ol' boys and girls who are 'just like us'. (shuddering at the thought)

As long as people who talk to god [Bachmann], and people who believe we are literally in an invisible war betweeen a cosmic good good-guy and bad-guy [Perry and the NAR], are a significant presence in mainstream politics, those tea-baggers are the greatest force in turning America into a third-world has-been.

They've realized nothing of the sort. All they've realized is that O'Donnell isn't drawing big crowds anymore.

Some witch she is. Can't even voodoo the Teaparty into liking her.

I had to scroll down to Paul's post about her to even remember who she was.

*sigh* It's hard to be an American. Three hundred years ago, Europeans let/encouraged all of their religious wackos to emigrate to this country, and WE'VE STILL GOT 'EM. I don't know if being a religious wacko is environmental or genetic -- probably some of both, like most things -- but living in a haven for religious wackos is rather a trial. Maybe I'll start studying Swedish....
