See, This Is Why We Have Interns

Posted by on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 4:57 PM

Police are investigating a threatening letter sent to CBS Late Late Show host, comedian Craig Ferguson. The letter, mailed from France, contained a suspicious white powder.

It was opened by interns, leading to a call to authorities to test the powder, finding it to be non-harmful, according to Los Angeles police Karen Rayner, who added that the investigation was continuing.

All of our mail is opened by interns too, so don't get any ideas. Unless, of course, you're targeting one of our interns. But really, why bother?

If the white powder was in an envelope to you guys, it would probably be cocaine.

The Wretched Harmony 3
Why would anybody want to harm a recent college grad whose family is rich enough to foot the bill while they work for free to pad their resume?

Poor college grads with loans to pay off are too busy trying to earn enough to keep their heads above water to plot against anyone. Even upper class snots who think doing unpaid internships is working their way to the top the hard way...

Maybe you could now explain why you don't pay your interns.

I'd say something but I am watching Jesus Camp and the kids are about to pray to the cardboard cut out of George Bush.

And remember those children are YOUR FUTURE AMERICA!!!

@4) Do they really deserve to be paid?

Sorry @1, I'm sure you're worth your weight in gold...

Perhaps your interns have developed a resistance to these pathogens. Perhaps there is a whole tribe of former interns now immune to anthrax and highly tolerant of cocaine.

I think someone's going to have to check his coffee for spit for the rest of his Stranger writing career. Bravo...
