When she opens her mouth, dumb things fall out:

GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann said today that Americans "fear the rise of the Soviet Union" during an appearance on a conservative radio talk show..."What people recognize is that there's a fear that the United States is in an unstoppable decline. They see the rise of China, the rise of India, the rise of the Soviet Union and our loss militarily going forward," Bachmann said on Jay Sekulow's radio show.

Bachmann likes to talk about the Soviet Union. She said America was turning into the Soviet Union because of noted liberal hippie George W. Bush in 2001. She has also said that Wisconsin Republicans are like Ronald Reagan fighting the Soviet Union (Bachmann also says Wisconsin Republicans are like Abraham Lincoln fighting back the Confederacy, for the record). I wonder if Bachmann could even point out the old borders of the Soviet Union on a map if we asked her.
