In the other election last night—the one with some real drama—Wisconsin Democrats easily fended off the last two remaining state senate recall contests, with incumbents Jim Holperin and Bob Wirch slamming their Republican challengers by 10 and 16 points respectively.

The Dems successfully filed recalls against all the senate Republicans they targeted, ultimately picking off two of the six. Republicans only managed to file recalls against three Democratic state senators, losing all three races. And while the Dems fell one recall shy of flipping control of the state senate, it's hard to view these results as anything but a rebuke of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and his anti-worker/anti-democratic policies.

If I were Walker, I'd be preparing for my own recall fight come January.
