I wonder if the 3 patients were selected due to their seropositivity? Maybe the 'rare form of leukemia' they were referring to was HIV-related leukemia (like PML). Still cool!

Mr. Buffet, if you wish to write a check to the government no one is stopping you. But all these leftist wealthy like you and Soros never have, have you. So why don't you either shut up or put your money where your financially astoundingly astute but otherwise moronic mouth is?

A correction- Dr. Chen and his partner were raising an adopted boy. Gay men physically can have kids, but generally don't and won't given their abnormal sexual predilections. If either man had, the boy would be Dr. Chens son, or that of his partner, not 'their' son.

English is so hard for liberals. Why is that?

@SB, What is your position on straight adoption? Are those kids not "sons" and "daughters" to their adoptive parents?

@2 ask Greece and Italy how such "voluntary" methods of having the Rich pay their share of taxes work.

Your God Reagan had 70 percent taxes on the Rich.

@5

You miss the point-

All these middle class to wealthy liberals think the tax structure is unfair, yes?

So, if the popular will to pay more taxes is so strong, why haven't we heard of grass roots movements to volunteer a more fair structure? Why haven't Soros or Buffet publicly demonstrated their own willingness to 'pay their share' by doing so? Could it be the whole thing is just talk? Say it ain't so!

My 'God' isn't Reagan. While an excellent president he was a flawed human being capable of error. For instance, he thought FDR a GOOD president! Sheesh!

BTW, Greece and Italy are in trouble precisely because of the kind of social policies and tax structures libs want here. Kind of why I so vehemently oppose such insane fiscal policy, really....

@2 And your determination to ostracize homosexuals (an “abnormal” “condition” found in at last count, roughly 8 quadrillion other species, that doesn’t harm anyone, but only adds to the richness and diversity of our society) clearly demonstrates your bigotry, Seattlebigot.

Understanding their own bigotry is so hard for conservatives, why is that? Oh yeah, it’s because your closed-minded pricks. Ya global warming denying moron.

@2: I hate to nitpick, but when people accuse others of misusing the English language they should really proofread their posts first.

Your post contains the following errors: a missing comma at the end of a conditional clause, rhetorical question punctuated as a statement, dropped coordinating conjunction in an adverbial sequence, missing possessive apostrophe, and unnecessary comma usage. I'll let you try and find these errors yourself so that you can learn from your mistakes. I'm normally very forgiving of such errors but thought I'd bring them to your attention given the circumstances.

Furthermore, any current dictionary will define "son" as a biological, adopted, or legal male child or person in relation to any biological, adopted, or legal parent. If you want to specify "biological son," than you must say so explicitly. This is called the burden of specificity. Without it, the more general sense of the word restricted by context (here context determines it to be "adopted son") is the default meaning. You can google "norma loquendi" if you want to learn more.

English is hard for idiots, regardless of political leanings.

Is it an actual argument that the wealthy should voluntarily pay taxes before such taxes should be considered for mandatory implementation?
