Al Gore Literally Calls Bullshit on Climate Change Deniers

Posted by on Tue, Aug 9, 2011 at 10:05 AM

According to ThinkProgress, Al Gore apparently lost his temper last week at the Aspen Institute when talking about climate change deniers. Here's audio:

This is great! This makes me very happy. But Gore needs to get that passionate when he knows cameras are on him. Preaching angrily to the choir is fine, but treating climate change deniers politely isn't going to make them go away. He needs to bring this anger to the public.

We all need to get this angry. We need a Green movement as stubborn as the Tea Party nitwits.

Oh wow, doods, the Aspen Institute, home of the rightwing nut crew!

Geez, I mean the Aspen Institute, where the "finest minds in Amerika congregate" (John Negroponte, Thomas Friedman, Matt Miller, Susie Skankie Splooge [Oopsy, forget about Susie, she's there to provide the "entertainment"], and Al Gore, taking time from his busy schedule of carbon trading with his Goldman Sachs buds over at their Generation Asset Management, yup, that would be the same iGore, who proselytized for NAFTA, GATT, Favored Trading Status with China (how's that working for you, American workers????), Telecommunications Act, "ending welfare as we know it" -- brought to you by vile multi-billionaire leveraged buyout king, Peter G. Peterson [America Speaks, Fiscal Times, Peterson Institute, Peterson Foundation and whatever David Rockefeller wants him to do, along with Henry Kissinger & Richard Perle]).

"...Gore needs to get that passionate...."

Dood, it's not as if he's back in that massage parlor with that plump matronly masseuse, after all, that's about the only time you'll ever see iGore passionate.

"We all need to get this angry. "

Yes, because nothing's a better vote getter than angry leftists.

Aren't City Councils buying enough charging stations from Al's companies?

Al getting angry will change nothing except for Rachel Maddow's ratings. You're falling victim to the sports fan's belief that louder cheering makes losing teams win.

It's about time that Gore called climate change denialists for the paid shills they are. But he should have started years ago before their propaganda became part of corporate media's "balanced" narrative.

That sound of desperation in his voice is not the sound of someone who is confident that he is right.

@9 - Sounds more to me like the desperation of a man who has known he's right for a very long time, but has had to constantly deal with paid bullshitters and would maybe like to be taken seriously for once.

Climate change deniers: all funded by people who stand to lose money if something is done to stop global warming.
