Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi in Love Seat Scandal Video

Posted by on Tue, Jul 26, 2011 at 11:08 AM

In 2008, Newt Gingrich made this video with Nancy Pelosi about coming together to fight climate change:

Now, of course, Newt is furiously backpedaling from his statement that Republicans and Democrats should work together. He's also running away from the climate-change-being-real stuff, too.

"Oh sure, look, I was trying to make a point that we shouldn't be afraid to debate the left, even on the environment," Gingrich said Tuesday on New Hampshire's WGIR radio. "But obviously it was misconstrued, and it's one of the things I probably wouldn't do again."

That's gotta be a long list. In other conservative climate change news, a climate change denier group demanded an audit of the BBC science coverage because they perceived a leftist lean to their climate change coverage. An independent review found that the BBC was, in fact biased...because it gave too much coverage to climate change deniers. Go read the whole thing, please.

There are loads of good links on the BBC climate change story -- use one of them instead of Huffington Post, please.

The facts will never matter to the lackeys of big mining, big farming, big chemical, big money greed. No ecological destruction will ever count, no species destruction will ever matter, no mounting birth defects or cancer clusters will ever make a bit of diference to the greediest swine of the world. They will always twist everything into a conspiracy by the left. And there will always be plenty of stupid people to believe them.

@2: It's not just stupidity; Denial of unpleasant realities is a basic human survival trait. Probably so we can continue to reproduce in spite of the fact that we know we will one day die.
