Media Glenn Beckwatch: Beck Says Attacked Norwegian Youth Camp "Sounds A Little Like The Hitler Youth"

Slog tipper Vlad sent this prime example of Glenn Beck's crazy ignorance along. In an offhand comment on his radio show, Beck compares the liberal youth camp that was attacked by conservative Norwegian terrorist Anders Behring Breivik to "The Hitler Youth":

I can't speak for asshole crazies like Beck or Jones where attention means money (or worse), but I think it's part of many, many people's psychology to believe this kind of garbage in order to distance themselves from their own mortality. They need to believe bad things don't happen to people like them—more specifically, them.

Beck, Jones and Constant. A good sounding trio to me. Is there room enough for one more loudmouth? Limbaugh? Which though is the biggest PARASITE, relying on other people's foibles for their livelihood?

It’s also classy how he essentially says if right wing nutters murder innocent people because they hate multiculturalism and Muslims, then it’s the fault of multiculturalism and Muslims for existing in the first place. I hate this asshole.
But what's most fascinating in this clip is where he admits Nazis were right-wing. It happens several minutes in, I didn't mark the time. Now to me and probably you and everyone who engages with reality and fact, saying Nazis were right wing is more obvious than saying the sun is hot. But Beck has for years conflated Nazis with any and all forms of socialism and therefore tried to reinvent the definition of liberal to mean Nazi. Again and again he has tried to destroy history by saying the Nazis were liberals. So I found that interesting.

Glenn Beck looks just like somebody I know who is the nicest man you could meet. Luckily he doesn't live in the USA, but still, imagine seeing Glenn Beck's face every time you look in the mirror.

@13 Thanks, but I wasn't arguing with anyone. I used innocent because the implication was they were "Hitler Youth" as though they guilty of something. Unless they were armed, they were innocent.

Funny that he's comparing the victims to Hitler Youth when it was actually the shooter who was praising Hitler. From what I've read he wrote in his manifesto he implied that Hitler was on the right track as far as purifying the race but he shouldn't have killed so many jews.
