Is that a soccer team or a bridal party?

That's what all that screaming was. I was afraid they'd turned that warehouse into a slaughterhouse for retired cheerleaders.

I'd have chosen Tubs.

@3 - They'd all been there before. They wanted someplace new.

I like it! Why not a city scene? Especially with the flower girls in black; they look like little witches, which is kind of cool. If I were her bridesmaid, I'd be like, fucking thank you for not making me look like my grandmother's couch.

It beats magenta dresses on a golf course any day.

Is this the Name That Band feature from LineOut?

Women are going to rip on it regardless anyway because they are all attractive and fit

Irena is right @9

For chrissakes, Kate Middleton had a smaller bridal party.

Sorority much?

Considering that there is probably a groomsman for each bridesmaid, I wonder whether the wedding party outnumbers the guests....

The more people you invite, the more presents you get. Duh!

@16, have you never been to a wedding? Perfectly ordinary people with pretty good taste throw it all out the window at wedding time.

And bridesmaids can get the worst of it. A group of diverse women who ordinarily might dress and style themselves completely differently will (sort of) gladly shoehorn into the outfit, shoes, hair and makeup styles the bride has dictated. Seeing the extent to which the bride has put her bridesmaids through hell in the name of love and friendship is always a highlight of any wedding for me.

Well, at least it's not a Colonial African themed wedding performed in South Africa this year.

Bridal parties swell up like this when they can't draw a line. This group probably includes all of the bride's and groom's sisters, her best friend (or two or three), maybe some cousin who has to be there or else the bride's bitch aunt will throw a fit...

@23 Sigh. You're probably right. But still, ELEVEN bridesmaids?

They're probably all very happy they'll be able to wear those dresses again, unlike most bridesmaid things.

At least it isn't at Gas Works Park on July 3rd. I bet that get to be pretty tiresome/boring for the wedding photographers.

I like the photo. I think it's sweet. And the bridesmaid dresses are unusually restrained. Congratulations city girl! Good luck to you and your sweet heart!

I'm with @22: haters be hatin'

Size of the wedding party aside, I love the background of this shot here!

@19 how are they hipsters?

@30 the only weddings i've been to with huge wedding parties have all been kids just out of high school to about half-way through college.

I saw this whole thing unfold and it was weird and sweet and delightful (and involved careful traffic negotiation to ensure car-free shots). And yes, eventually each of these women was paired with a man, all of whom wore tuxedos.
