Two-Block Radius No Fence Taken, Joe

Moments ago, Slog tipper Joe Blow wrote that because fences were coming down in Cal Anderson Park "all the fucking homeless people can shit there." First, Joe, you're a piece of shit. Second, hold onto all of that shit because the Seattle Parks Department is replacing the old lighting system at Bobby Morris Playfield in Cal Anderson Park. What does this mean for you, Joe, you piece of shit?
During the project, the ballfields will be fenced and not available to recreational use. The lighting system for the tennis courts and basketball courts will be out for approximately one week during construction. Parks will post signs on site when the dates for the court lighting outage are confirmed. Parks anticipates the project lasting six weeks from start to finish, with an estimated completion by August 26, 2011.

Ok, I guess I'll defend Joe. Homeless people don't have the option for privacy by definition. Homeless folks who enjoy sex combined with bowel movements are probably best served by the semi-privacy of a bush, rather than s(poo)ging in the sidewalks or on the bus, as are the non-homeless.

Yeah, hm. I don't much care for park-shitters, homeless or homeful. And as cool as I am with living off the grid, park-shitting is not "leave no trace" behavior.
All that said, I'm glad the lawns are un-fenced - and the prospect of lawnshitters didn't even enter my mind, unbidden, at the news.

God help you if you ever try and get a job anywhere but The Stranger. Not agreeing with - or even really really really really really not liking what someone says on the Slog comments is one thing. Being on staff and using your position to elevate your dislike for commentary to the main Slog page and calling a poster names (my own gift from you were several references to non-erect penisis) is just the mark of a collosally immature and unprofessional prick.

Having lived behind Dicks Drive-In for 5 years, the wooden fence that linked the alley to another apt complex, if the fence was broken, then homeless people would indeed deficate there. Occured maybe 6 times a year. Wake up in the morning to leave for work, theres a pile of what is obvious human poop sitting next to the fence door.
It would not be out of the ordinary to see homeless people deficate in the park.

@18 except that that park is not only well-trafficked, but equipped with security cameras, all-night lighting, and unfortunately, not terribly "private" scenery, though surely the RedWall helps with all that.
Nonetheless, that park has been my backyard for the last six years and I've never seen a human shit in the park. That's what alleys are for. Your unfortunate shit-fence merely provides extra shit-shielding in your alley.

Escalating finger-pointing and childish (and indeed paradoxically trollish) name-calling to a main post on the Slog as if to say "Hey, readers!
