Shocker: Blagojevich Is, Like, Super Guilty

Posted by on Mon, Jun 27, 2011 at 12:22 PM

The jury in the Blagojevich trial has found him guilty on 17 out of 20 counts of corruption:

Blagojevich, 54, faced 20 counts ranging from conspiracy to soliciting a bribe to wire fraud. Jurors were hung on two of those counts.
Before the verdict was read, Blagojevich said, "It's in God's hands," as he left his Ravenswood Manor home. He then quoted an Elvis song, "All Shook Up," saying, "My hands are shaking, my knees are weak. I can't seem to stand on my own two feet."

What a scamp.

Corruption from an Illinois politician? I cant believe it!

My bet is he gets a presidential pardon on 01/19/2011.

Chicago scum likes to stick together.

@2: ...really?
Obama's one of the cleanest politicians we've had in Illinois lately; the only blot in that regard is a very tenuous and insubstantial connection to Tony Rezko. He's also got a nationwide backing, and has no real need for anything Blowdryovich could do for him. All he'd be doing by pardoning would be torpedoing his own cred as an ex-president.
Rod Blagojevich will not get pardoned by anyone.

the best thing to come from blagojevich was the burger named after him at kuma's. from huffpo:

$10 (though the price is negotiable, according to a facetious note on the menu board) gets you a 10-ounce beef patty topped with American cheese and a thick slab of bologna between a "bun" of Wonder Bread grilled cheese sandwiches.

A yellow mustard dollar sign is squiggled on the top.
